Executive Chef Christopher James Millar of Stellar at 1-Altitude’s culinary career includes positions at award-wining, iconic restaurants in London, Melbourne and Sydney.Upon arriving in Singapore in 2003, Chef Christopher was appointed Executive Chef for the Fig Leaf Restaurant at the Fort Canning Country Club. He had previously launched dining concepts at One Rochester, 1-TwentySix and Stellar, all of which were listed in The Miele Guide’s 2011/2012 list of Asia’s finest restaurants.

At 1-Altitude, Christopher continues to demonstrate his culinary talent and imagination by creating unique dining experiences that draw the praise and appreciation of Singapore’s gastronomes, most recent, being the all new Gastronomy menu and the upcoming Wine Lust Sunday Brunches.

Executive Chef Christopher Millar at the helm was lauded as Chef of the Year and Stellar given the accolade of Most Romantic Restaurant in Chope’s 2014 Diner’s Choice Awards. National Critics Choice (New York Times Asia) named Millar the Best Innovative Fusion Chef for Western Cuisine 2014 while Wine & Dine recognized Stellar with two stars for the 2015 House of Stars and two stars as winner for Best Rooftop Dining in 2014 in their Singapore Top Restaurants Guide. For the World Gourmet Summit Awards of Excellence 2015, Chef Millar was a Finalist for KITCHENAID Chef of the Year whilst Stellar’s Manager Gabbriel James was a Finalist for the AT-SUNRICE GLOBALCHEF ACADEMY Restaurant Manager of the Year.
